WHF Continues Funding of Network in 2011

The European Healthy Stadia Network is very pleased to announce that the World Heart Federation will be part funding Network activities once again in 2011. This will be the second year that the WHF will part-fund the Network through its partnership with UEFA’s Football and Social Responsibility Portfolio.

Commenting on the second year of support for the Network, Graham Minton – Director of Corporate Relations at the World heart Federation – commented:

“We are delighted to be able to continue our support for the Healthy Stadia Network as part of our partnership with UEFA. The network is an excellent example of engaging people in their own community with the issues of healthy diets and increased physical activity”

The Network will continue to raise awareness of the issues surrounding World Heart Day with sports stadia and sports organisations in 2011.

In addition we will also promote the WHF/UEFA football themed healthy recipe cook book ‘Eat for Goals’ through the Network’s website and at conferences, a paperback version of which is now available in English.
