World Heart Day 2017

World Heart Day 2017

Following on from a successful delivery of an Active Travel programme at UEFA Women’s EURO 2017, Healthy Stadia designed a toolkit for World Heart Day 2017 to encourage National Associations to promote physically active lifestyles during FIFA World Cup Qualifying fixtures in early October. National Associations provided various levels of support including:

  1. Digital communications support – supporting World Heart Day 2017 through news articles, social media and encouraging their players and ambassadors to perform a ‘healthy heart selfie’
  2. Promoting healthier football environments – several National Associations and league operators encouraged their fans to walk and cycle to international matches and domestic fixtures during this period
